Girls Rock!

The little girl I nanny had her birthday party today and the theme she choose was "rockstar". So we made a stage bought little guitars and microphones and let them live it up rockstar style with the karoke machine! Party complete with a guitar cake I made! Happy birthday babe!

Utes

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to massage some of the players from the UofU's football team. It was such a great experience and the guys were so nice and very grateful for the short free massage that they received. When we were done massaging we got to go on a tour of the locker room and the building and see the couches offices where they practice etc. I've never been one that enjoys watching football (I'd much rather play) but I might be a Utes fan now! Go Utes!

What to write

I know I haven't updated lately and I think it may have something to do with the fact that I don't have kids nor a husband so no no one to really update on. I haven't saved the world or made any cool history so nothing to update about there(I have attempted I guess we now know why I wasn't made into a superhero:)..) I just feel like there isn't much for me to update on.. 5 days a week I work full time as a nanny and partime as a preschool teacher (I don't know how people do so much it amazes me!) 6 days a week I go to school and then the rest of my week consists of homrwork and sleeping!

More hours in a day

Why can't we have more hours in a day? I'm thinking like maybe 32 would be perfect.. I'm a person who likes to keep myself busy and sometimes I end up taking on more then I think I can handle for instance I am currently a nanny and a preschool teacher during the day and a student all night. Weekends are completelt hectic that there is rarely a spare moment. However knowing I would probably add more stuff if there were 32 hours a day!:)

Nephew number 2!

My little brother and his girlfriend just found out the gender of their unborn baby and its A BOY!! Nephew number 2!

Massage School

Well I started school for massage therapy. I have been absolutely loving it so far! It has been a ton of fun and to learn about the body is so amazing. The human body is an amazing thing! I graduate in March then can begin working as a massage therapist! It's nice knowing that there is only one year of school! Wouldn't it be nice to work on a beach one day?!?

Birthdays and Tractors!

The little boy that I nanny just turned 3 and he is absolutely in love with tractors. So for his birthday party I made him a tractor cake! It's not perfect but I know a three year old who really loved it! Happy birthday buddy!

California!

Well for spring break my 3 roommates and I decided we would take a road trip to Cali! We had a blast! We spent the first night in Vegas and then 3 days at Disneyland and 2 days at the beach! I love California!! I would do anything to live on the Beach!! ( more pictures coming soon!)

Trisomy 18

I have a brother who was born with Trisomy 18 and returned back to heaven after 52 hours here on earth. I was born 1 year after him so I personally didn't get the chance to meet him here. However my parents have made sure he is part of our family there are many picture of him up throughout our house and my parents talk about him all the time. We are also part of a parent support group called S.O.F.T. (support organization for Trisomy 18, 13 and other related disorders.) Being apart of this has given us children the amazing opportunity to know other children who have the same thing my brother did. To learn more about this disorder please visit: www.trisomy.org.

Blue Man Group

On saturday I took my dad to see the blue man group. It was a really cool show to watch but it was even better being with just my daddy!

Hannah Montana/Mylie Cyrus

For Christmas I bought a couple of little girls tickets to the Hannah Montana/Mylie Cyrus concert tour 3-D movie tickets. (we were unable to get to the real concert) The concert was tonight and it actually was alot of fun! It was really cool to see a concert in 3-D because you see stuff you'd never see and they added some backstage stuff so it was really cool. I love that we have such a sweet, uplifting role model for the girls these days! It was a ton of fun!

California Cake

I have helped out with many birthday parties and I have absolutely loved it. So I decided that I would completely do my nieces birthday party from the planning to the invitations to the games to the decorations to the cake making. So tonight I decided to do a trail run. The cake I made was in the shape of Mickey's head and M&M's spelled out California and the initials of my roommates, our friend and me. We are going on a road trip to Cali over spring break and so I'm getting everyone pimped up!

A million questions

I have recently found myself with the million questions of a child running thru my head.. Why does god allow bad thing to happen to good people and good things happen to bad people? Where is heaven? What's after this? What is true? What am I supposed to do with my future? What road do I take? Is there only one way? I have been learning about a lot of science stuff lately which I must say has added to my thinking.. Evolution has scientific proof, it's got evidence to back it up, is this the truth? The big bang theory it makes sense! Why are we here? Is there really a God? If so why does he allow certain things to happen? Who am i? So many questions I don't know what to do... Pondering...

Favorite Movie and Book

I have seen the movie PS I Love you 3 times and it is the best movie ever!! I recommend it to everyone and anyone! If you need someone to go with you I'm totally your girl!

First of all I have to say that I am NOT a reader, the only books I ever read were the ones that you are forced to read in school and none of them were over 300 pages long.. Well I started reading a new series; Twilight.. I absolutely love them! I read the first one (500 pages big pat on the back for me!) and I am on the 2nd one. They are such a great series and I'm stressing out about trying to find time to read them between school and work full time plus all of the other day to day tasks.. (I know it's weird me wanting to read!) Pick up the books they are awesome!

Addi is one month old

Tomorrow will be one month since my best friends beautiful precious angel Addi left this world. It's hard to believe that is has been a month already and it's been a really tough one. I Love you Casie and you will see your perfect little girl again! She is always in my heart and I think of you guys often!
