Swanky

So yesterday I learned a new word.... SWANKY! I find this word so funny that when it is used in everyday sentences (which of course I am now doing) that I laugh like full on can't stop laughing for a few minutes and then laugh moments later because I think about it and find it hilarious! I just think it is HILARIOUS!!!

Prison Tour

So tonight I got to go on a tour of the Utah State Prison. I have had the opportunity to do this once before so it was fun to be able to go back and experience it for a second time. On the tour they take you on a tour of a few of the units of the prison. We got to go to the spot where the prisoners who work and have earned special privledges stay. They have one man cells and get to have a tv or a radio or some form of entertainment like that. These cells are coveted spots because they are the one man cells so they are usually on thier best behavoir and there is little to no fighting done in this area (mind you the cells are still the same size as anywhere else about 10x10 they just don't have to share.) We then went over to the maximum security and went to the building where those who are on death row are staying and then those who fight to much, who spit, cause problems and don't listen (they have no privledges and are in small spaces it is SUPER secure there! When they are out for any reason they have a ratio of 5 to 1 so five cops per immate can we say intimidating!) We got to go into the execution room what a feeling when you enter that room, it's got the table (lethal injections) and the chair (firing squad) Utah has passed a law where we are not able to use the firing squad any more because it is "inhumane" so those that are on death row that have already chosen that one still have that avaiable to them but no one else can. We then went to an area where we saw photos of tattoos that inmates have drawn and alot of the body work that they have done and then they showed us some weapons and tattoo guns that they found in some cells. Stuff like this seriously fascinates me and I was so glad that I got the opportunity again to go see the things that I was able to see and to hear the things I was able to hear. Simply AMAZING!

Life's Randomness

Does life ever slow down?! I thought it was supposed to slow down once you got older and boy was I wrong!! Well I did it! I graduated from massage school! It's crazy and scary all at the same time, I can "officialy" choose the road my future will take. (I know we always control our future but wow it's kinda crazy!!).

I had no idea you could possibly love a child so much! I'm seriously head over heels in love with the kids I nanny and how is it that the little one just turned 4?! TIME PLEASE SLOW DOWN!! They are getting so big and indepent it makes me want to cry! I guess a 'nan (my version of mom) has to loosen the reigns and let go sometime doesn't she. But really do I have to? I don't want them to grow up any more!! I want to freeze time!! Time please stop! Let me enjoy and savor every moment I have with them right now! Seriously is it normal to love children this much?! I hurt when they hurt, I cry when they cry, I laugh when they laugh and I'm so incredibly happy my heart hurts when they are happy and care free like a child should be! Can someone take a picture and freeze time please!? (Please pass the tissues)

Wow I thought life would slow down once I got out of school but it just seems like everyday I am getting busier and busier (I am not and should not complain some people aren't as lucky as me!)

What is up with the economy?! How did we go from fine to down the mountain side so quickly? I have been moved to part time at work (It was good and I understand why) I am now available on Tuesdays and Thursdays if anyone needs help with anything just give me a call. Again I should not complain I can at least say I still have a part time job when I know many MANY can't even say that much but how long is it gonna take for things to get back to normal?

Well I believe that is all for now. I know I know a really random long post I can't hook up my camera right now but when I can expect alot of pictures and updates!!:)
